RUSSIA FOR ME

 

A fascinating tour which focuses around two of Russia's most important cities, Moscow and St Petersburg. Vibrant capital Moscow offers a range of impressive cultural and historical attractions, including the world famous Red Square, the brightly painted and swirly-domed St. Basil’s Cathedral, and the mighty Kremlin. The extravagant metro system also makes for a great visit, and once seen, you will never forget the fabulous Faberge eggs, which are on display at the Armoury Museum.

Quieter and prettier, but no less fascinating, Russian's former capital St Petersburg is also bound to impress with its lavish palaces, broad avenues and winding canals. Top of the list of places to visit is the sumptuous Hermitage Museum, also known as the Winter Palace, which is the biggest museum in the world.

In addition, the tour takes in a day trip to the small town of Tsarskoe Selo, just outside of St Petersburg, and home to the baroque St Catherine's Palace, complete with its glittering great hall and glowing Amber Room.
