Before applying for your visa to the Russian Federation, applicants should decide the visa category under which they wish to lodge their visa application.

Please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa category you are applying for.

Please note that in accordance with the Executive Order of the President of the Russian Federation No. 735, On Collecting Biometric Personal Data of Foreign Nationals and Stateless Persons beginning 10 December 2014 all applicants have to come in person to submit their documents and fingerprints.Biometric data will not be collected when issuing diplomatic and official visas, nor for individuals under 12 years of age.

Once you know the visa type you need to apply for, please read all relevant information to that category which includes its visa fees, VFS service charges, documents required, photo specifications and processing time along with the visa application form within that category.

Applicants should read all instructions carefully and then fill in the visa application form. Upon completion of your application form please print it out,sign it and submit at the Russia Visa Application Centre together with all support documents, payment and passport. Please make sure that the signature of your application for is identical to the one in your passport.

Please note: all visa supporting documents must be in English or Russian language only.Please note: VFS recommends that you do not purchase tickets or make bookings which cannot be cancelled without cost prior to the issuance of a visa, except where it is a specific requirement stated as part of the visa application.Once all requirements corresponding to the visa category under which they wish to lodge their application are fulfilled, you are ready to apply for your visa to the Russian Federation.Please note: the Visa Application Centre employees can only provide you with information for Russian visas, but they are not able to provide you with advice regarding which visa you should apply for.

Please note that only 1 valid visa can be issued per person. Please make sure you don’t have two valid visas before your travel.
